SC junks defence seeking EC be destined to allege check timings due to Ramzan

The Supreme Court Monday discharged a defence seeking a instruction to a Election Commission to allege check timings to 5:30 am from 7 am for a seventh proviso of Lok Sabha polls in perspective of withering feverishness and a month of Ramzan.

“The timings are for 7 am to 6 pm. People can come in a morning to expel their votes. They (EC) will face logistical problem (if timings are preponed),” a dais told disciple Mohammad Nizamuddin Pasha who had filed a petition.
