GUWAHATI: Election Commission of India (ECI) has deferred a polling date of Tripura East parliamentary subdivision to Apr 23 from Apr 18 citing law and sequence problem.
The elect has deferred a date after it perceived reports from a Tripura arch electoral officer (CEO) and Special Police Observer (SPO) that a prevalent law and sequence conditions in a state was not conductive for holding a choosing on a scheduled date on Apr 18.
ECI settled that it approaching that law and sequence conditions in a subdivision to urge and turn gainful for holding giveaway and satisfactory choosing with additional measures taken during this period.
During a initial proviso of check on Apr 11 when Tripura west chair went to polls there were assault and several people were injured.
