NEW DELHI: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has given a second postpone to IAS officer Mohammed Mohsin, who was barred from check duties by a Election Commission on Apr 25 over attempting to “inspect” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter during a convene in Odisha.
CAT on Wednesday stayed a EC sequence — also directing a Karnataka supervision to start disciplinary record opposite Mohsin — while revoking his suspension.
The CAT sequence said, “It can't be pronounced that SPG protectees are authorised for anything and everything. Election officials have checked private vehicles of (Karnataka) arch apportion (HD) Kumaraswamy some-more than once and no movement followed… a Odisha arch minister’s vehicles were also checked.”
Mohsin, who was deployed as a ubiquitous spectator in Odisha by a EC, strike headlines after he was dangling over allegations of attempting to “inspect” Modi’s helicopter in Sambalpur on Apr 16.
Mohsin had changed CAT, that stayed a EC sequence and revoked his cessation final week.
