UP man found murdered in passenger train

The body of a middle aged man, with stab wounds, was found in a coach of the Gorakhpur-kaptanganj passenger train on Saturday morning.

The matter came to light when train (55076) arrive at Siwan railway station, and an on-duty RPF personnel found the body in a coach near the engine. He immediately informed his senior officials.

The body was identified as Rabindra Singh a resident of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. Police also recovered Adhar card, cell phone and Rs 1000 cash from his possession.

The body was taken out of the coach. The train continued its journey till Kaptanganj where a thorough examination of the coach was carried out.

Police said closed circuit televisions along the route were being examined. Old enmity was believed to be the motive behind the killing. A case had been lodged against unidentified miscreants with the Siwan GRP in this connection.
