Indore: Indore Smart City Development Limited (ISCDL) has made second call tenders for setting up six hydraulic multi-level parking on public-private partnership (PPP) basis. Previously, the company had tenders for smart hydraulic multi-level parking but nobody showed interest due to technical issues. After addressing the technical issues, the ISCDL has made second call for smart parking, which will be enabled with hydraulic lifts.
Smart hydraulic multi-level parking is to be set up at Khajrana Ganesh temple and five other places under Smart City project. The other places include Veer Savarkar Market, MT Cloth Market, Government School (Bhoi Mohalla), Government Unnat School near Mukeripura Masjid and on Jawahar Marg. The estimated cost for Khajrana Ganesh temple parking is Rs 15 crore, Veer Savarkar Market parking Rs 17.55 crore, MT Cloth Market parking Rs 6.03 crore, Government School (Bhoi Mohalla) parking Rs 6.68 crore, Government Unnat School near Mukeripura Masjid parking Rs 5.52 crore and Rajmohalla polt-2 on Jawahar Marg Rs 6.21 crore.
Indore Smart City Development Limited has planned to set up 16 hydraulic multi-level parking across the city to deal with the parking problem. In the first phase, six parking lots would be set up. The city already has six multi-level parking, though not hydraulic ones, at Khajuri Bazaar, MG Road (near district court), Jawahar Marg, AB Road (behind Raghunath Petrol Pump), Meghdoot Garden (near Hotel Marriot) and one in front of Satya Sai School.
