Now, devotees can offer e-donations to temples

Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE) Sevur S. Ramachandran, on Monday, launched a unified online e-donation facility for temples in the State.

Initially, the facility will be available for five temples in the city — Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore, Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple in Triplicane, Devi Karumariamman Temple in Tiruverkadu, Thyagarajaswamy Temple in Tiruvottiyur and Vadapalani Andavar Temple — and will be supported by the Indian Overseas Bank’s payment gateway.

HR and CE Commissioner T.K.Ramachandran said the Department was in the process of integrating websites of all major temples. “In a few days time we would provide drop down menu for devotees if they want to donate each month for occasions like Krithikai or Pradhosham even. We will soon integrate the 47 major temples and then 250 big ones and later the 44,000 temples into this website,” he explained. Devotees can donate through https://tnhrce.gov.in.
