Man cheats medical aspirants, held

Entrustment Document Fraud Wing (EDF) of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Monday arrested a 42-year-old man from Puducherry for allegedly cheating medical aspirants to the tune of ₹4.95 crore.

S. Nagaraj was arrested on a complaint from V. Senthilnathan, 40, of Kodambakkam.Senthilnathan, his relatives and friends paid ₹4.95 crore to him for medical seats for their children in government colleges two years ago.

After taking the money, he did not fulfil his end of the deal.The EDF remanded him in judicial custody.
