Fire at film set in Meenambakkam

Fire broke out at a film set near Meenambakkam railway station on Thursday. No one was injured. According to the police, the incident was reported to the fire control room at 1 p.m. Immediately, fire fighters rushed from Tambaram and Guindy stations. By then the blaze had reached the top of a portion of the set. The fire was put out after four hours.

The premises is located near Meenambakkam railway station.

Police said the fire was due to a spark from a welding machine used by a few workers on the set. Further investigation is on.
