Earlier this week Drax actor Dave Bautista claimed he’d ask to be removed from Guardians of a Galaxy Vol. 3 if Disney opted to not use suspended executive James Gunn’s script. It appears Disney is attempting to call his bluff. While unfortunate, this shouldn’t come as any surprise. First, it would be ungainly to give Gunn author credits on a film Disney deemed him undeserved to direct. Second, and maybe many importantly, it would be a calamity to lessen with a several guilds and unions, a con Disney clearly doesn’t wish to understanding with.
Abandoning a book does lend faith to a story about prolongation being delayed. Without a book in place, it would be subsequent to unfit to strike a approaching 2020 recover date. I’d design Disney to take their time anticipating a new author and director, and assume we won’t see a Guardians on shade again, after Avengers 4, until during slightest 2022.
One a one premonition to this is a source, Christopher Marc, who while reliable, is not a trade publication. Until Disney releases a matter there is hope, though that fire is fast going out.
Looks like Marvel Studios might have indeed tossed out James Gunn’s book for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.3. Something we approaching was a subsequent step, if this is reliable there will be a large prolongation check forward for a sequel. pic.twitter.com/qgkcsbdvmC
